Looking at the photos now, you'd never believe that this deck used to be a splintered, rotted and unsafe pressure treated deck.
We removed the original wood decking, railing and staircase but left the framing, which was in good shape, in place. A new staircase was framed while we replaced the decking and railing.
We also installed TimberTech Dryspace underneath the deck to provide a dry area under the deck for entertaining should the rain come. Part of revitalizing the underside of the deck involved building a custom cedar privacy wall to block the view and noise of the pool filtration system that had bothered the client for years. Natural bluestone was also added to extend the pool patio.
